Economics 190 -- Readings
Some material has been placed on three (3) hour closed reserve in Perkins Library, including the
books by Skidelsky (vol.1), Mirowski (1989) and Ingrao and Israel (1990). Additionally, four general histories of economics are
on reserve: Blaug's (very clear and analytical), Spiegel's (excellent on
19thcentury material), Screpanti and Zemagni's (particularly good on non-neoclassical work), and
Beaud and Dostaler's (includes interesting individual biographies of 20thcentury economists).
All the required readings are on E-reserves at Perkins (for
which you will need access to Adobe Acrobat Reader, available at the site). Also, you should be familiar with the resources
available from the History of Economics Society WebSite which are related to this course: see
the section Other Resources.
